Drake Batherson Seeking Eight-Year Contract Extension

Ottawa Senators forward Drake Batherson is actively pursuing an eight-year contract extension. According to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen, Batherson aims to finalize the long-term deal before the mid-September deadline, which serves as the cutoff for signing contracts of that specific duration. The negotiations remain a focal point as the team looks to secure the forward's services for the foreseeable future.
