Dansby Swanson Placed on 10-Day IL With Oblique Injury

Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson has been placed on the 10-day injured list following an oblique injury sustained during Sunday's 11-4 loss to the Cardinals. The 32-year-old exited the game in the bottom of the third inning after an awkward swing-and-miss. Visibly frustrated, Swanson departed the field immediately. The organization is currently evaluating the recovery timeline for the veteran infielder as they navigate this significant roster setback.
