Marcelo Mayer Expected to Remain on IL Through Tuesday

San Francisco Giants manager Tony Vitello confirmed that infielder Marcelo Mayer (forearm) is not expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list in time for Tuesday's series opener against the Cleveland Guardians. However, there is optimism that Mayer could be reinstated at some point during the three-game series against Cleveland as he continues to progress toward his return to the active roster.
