Deshaun Watson Leads Browns QB Competition After Preseason Opener

In his first game since 2024, Deshaun Watson completed 11 of 15 passes for 126 yards and led two scoring drives against the Bears, though his afternoon was marred by a strip-sack and a lost fumble. OC Todd Monken praised his 'awesome' first half. Watson continues to split first-team reps with Shedeur Sanders during joint practices as the coaching staff evaluates the starter ahead of the August 22 game against the Buffalo Bills.
