Michael Penix Ruled Out for Preseason Opener

Falcons quarterback Michael Penix will miss Friday's preseason opener against the Denver Broncos due to a lingering knee injury. Penix has not yet been cleared for 11-on-11 drills, limiting his participation in training camp. As the team evaluates its quarterback options, Penix's status remains a point of monitoring while he works toward returning to full practice activity.
