Tua Tagovailoa Named Starter for Preseason Opener

Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski has named Tua Tagovailoa the starting quarterback for Friday's preseason opener against the Denver Broncos. While this provides a key opportunity to gain separation in the team's ongoing quarterback competition, Tagovailoa has not yet been officially named the permanent QB1 for the regular season. The team continues to evaluate its options as the battle for the starting role remains open.
