Pete Fairbanks Slams the Door for 18th Save in Shutout Win

Fairbanks looked dominant on Tuesday, striking out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to secure his 18th save of the season in a 2-0 victory over the Pirates. The Marlins' closer needed minimal effort to shut the door on Pittsburgh, preserving the shutout and continuing his reliable run in the late innings. With 18 saves now under his belt, Fairbanks remains a steadying force for the Miami bullpen as they navigate the closing months of the 2026 campaign and look to finish strong.
