Bo Nix to Sit Out Preseason Opener

Broncos head coach Sean Payton confirmed that quarterback Bo Nix will not play in Friday's preseason opener against the Falcons. The decision is precautionary as he recovers from two surgeries on his right ankle. While he will sit out Friday, the team expects him to play in the final two preseason games. Nix enters the 2026 season facing significant pressure to prove he is the team's long-term franchise quarterback during this pivotal evaluation period.
