Season Likely Over for Nick Kurtz Due to Thumb Injury

Nick Kurtz is likely to miss the remainder of the season due to a right thumb injury. He is currently in a brace and is expected to remain sidelined for at least four weeks following a platelet-rich plasma injection received last Tuesday. With the Athletics currently in fourth place, his return to the field in September is considered unlikely as the team continues to monitor his recovery process.
