Brice Turang Diagnosed with Thumb Sprain

Brice Turang has been diagnosed with a sprained thumb following Tuesday's loss to the San Diego Padres, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. Prior to this injury, Turang had been building a strong case for the 2026 National League MVP award. While he was not considered the betting favorite, his consistent performance throughout the season kept him firmly in the conversation. The team is now evaluating the impact of his injury on his availability.
