Troy Melton Leads Tigers to Extra-Innings Victory

Tigers pitcher Troy Melton, holding a 7-1 record with a 1.58 ERA, led the team to a 10-inning victory over the Giants. Melton was slated to face Logan Webb in the series finale, and his performance was instrumental in securing the win. The Tigers' bullpen, which has been much maligned this season, supported the effort late in the game to help the team capitalize on the Giants' struggling offense.
