Gerrit Cole Becomes Fastest Yankee to Reach 1,000 Career Strikeouts

Gerrit Cole earned the win in Saturday's 5-4 victory over Atlanta, allowing two runs on six hits over seven innings while striking out nine without a walk. This performance made him the fastest Yankee to reach 1,000 career strikeouts. Cole anchored the pitching staff in a marquee matchup against Chris Sale, supported by two RBI from Spencer Jones, as the Yankees secured their second consecutive win over the Braves.
