Noah Schultz Pulled Early After Managerial Blunder

White Sox starting pitcher Noah Schultz was forced to exit his start after recording only one out due to a mistake by manager Will Venable. Venable admitted after the game that he had lost track of his first visit to the mound, resulting in an unintended and premature removal of Schultz from the contest. The early exit had little to do with Schultz's actual performance on the mound, as the manager's error forced the change in the first inning.
