Logan Gilbert Takes Loss in Pitching Duel Against Rays

Logan Gilbert (8-7) took the loss in Friday's 2-1 defeat to the Tampa Bay Rays. Despite a strong start, Gilbert allowed two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out six over 6.2 innings. The game was a highly anticipated pitching duel against Drew Rasmussen, but the Mariners' offense remained quiet, failing to provide sufficient support for Gilbert's solid effort on the mound.
