Ducks Consider Moving Cutter Gauthier to Center for 2026-27

The Anaheim Ducks are evaluating a potential position shift for Cutter Gauthier, considering moving the elite 40-goal winger to center for the 2026-27 season. This strategic adjustment is being driven by a combination of a sudden salary cap crunch and emerging depth concerns within the roster. The organization views Gauthier as a viable candidate to anchor the second line, a move intended to stabilize the team's offensive production amid current personnel challenges.
