Angels Designate Former All-Star Jorge Soler for Assignment

The Los Angeles Angels have officially designated Jorge Soler for assignment. The 34-year-old former World Series MVP and All-Star has struggled significantly during the 2026 season, posting a career-worst .664 OPS. The move, reported Tuesday, removes Soler from the active roster as the club makes further adjustments, including the addition of Ballesteros to the team.
