River Ryan Traded to Tigers in Skubal Blockbuster

River Ryan has been traded to the Detroit Tigers as part of the blockbuster deal that sent Tarik Skubal to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ryan, a highly-regarded prospect, was one of three players—including Zyhir Hope and Brady Smith—sent to Detroit to facilitate the acquisition of the back-to-back Cy Young winner. The move marks a significant shift for Ryan’s career as he joins a Tigers organization focused on rebuilding its farm system following the departure of their staff ace.
