Mets Acquire Infield Prospect Sammy Stafura in Trade with Pirates

The New York Mets have acquired infield prospect Sammy Stafura from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for relief pitcher Luke Weaver. Stafura is considered a talented addition who brings significant upside to the Mets' farm system. The trade allows the Mets to continue their strategy of adding young depth while parting ways with Weaver, who had been one of their most effective bullpen arms. Stafura was one of two key prospects, alongside Jefferson Rojas, landed by the Mets on Monday.
