Blue Jays Acquire Josh Smith from Rangers

The Toronto Blue Jays acquired utility infielder Josh Smith and right-hander Josh Stephan from the Texas Rangers on Monday in exchange for left-hander Adam Macko. The trade, confirmed by Ken Rosenthal, sees the Blue Jays bolster their roster as part of a strategic assessment. Smith moves to Toronto as the Blue Jays look to evaluate individual player contributions and adjust their lineup for the remainder of the season.
