Cubs Acquire Left-Hander Reid Detmers from Angels

The Chicago Cubs have acquired left-handed pitcher Reid Detmers from the Los Angeles Angels. Detmers, who provides the Cubs with two years of team control beyond 2026, had previously been the subject of intense trade deadline speculation. While early reports suggested a potential deal, it was confirmed Monday that the Cubs successfully brought the pitcher into the fold to bolster their rotation.
