Yankees Acquire Breakout Infielder Luis García Jr. from Nationals

The New York Yankees have acquired infielder Luis García Jr. from the Washington Nationals to address offensive struggles. García, 26, is enjoying a breakout season, hitting .283 with 23 home runs and leading the NL in slugging percentage. He was a late scratch from Sunday's lineup due to the deal. In exchange, the Nationals received pitchers Ben Grable, Yovanny Cruz, Jack Cebert, and Jake Bird. García expressed mixed emotions regarding the move to the Bronx.
