Nick Kurtz to Visit Hand Specialist for Forearm and Thumb Injury

Athletics slugger Nick Kurtz remains out of the lineup due to a lingering forearm issue and an injured right thumb. The team has scheduled Kurtz to visit a hand specialist in Los Angeles on Monday to evaluate the severity of the injury. Following the results of this evaluation, the Athletics are expected to make a formal roster decision, which could include placing Kurtz on the injured list.
