José Barrero Homers in Norfolk Tides Extra-Innings Loss

José Barrero contributed a home run for the Norfolk Tides in their 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Worcester Red Sox on August 2. Despite his offensive effort, which helped recover a run lost earlier in the game, the Tides fell in the tenth inning for the second consecutive night. Barrero was also noted for an error earlier in the contest that allowed an unearned run to score.
