Paul Skenes Struggles in 8-7 Loss to Reds

Paul Skenes did not factor into the decision in Friday's 8-7 loss to the Reds, marking a low point in his 2026 season. Skenes struggled on the mound, allowing five runs on seven hits and four walks over four innings, though he did record seven strikeouts. Recent reports indicate Skenes is currently experiencing a period of inconsistency as the Pirates navigate a challenging stretch of games.
