Jamir Watkins Out for 2026-27 Season Following ACL Surgery

Washington Wizards forward Jamir Watkins is expected to miss the entire 2026-27 season after undergoing surgery on Thursday to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Watkins, selected by the Wizards in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft, was signed to a two-way contract. Prior to the injury, he was projected to split time between the Wizards and their G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go, to continue his professional development.
