Clay Holmes Nears Return Amid Trade Deadline Speculation

Clay Holmes (lower leg) is nearing a return from the injured list after a strong rehab outing for Single-A St. Lucie, where he tossed four scoreless innings with three strikeouts over 59 pitches. As the trade deadline approaches, his future remains a focal point for the Mets. While his next appearance is TBD, all options remain on the table, including further minor league assignments or a return to the Mets' active roster as scouts continue to monitor his progress.
