AJ Smith-Shawver Activated and Makes 2026 Season Debut

The Braves activated AJ Smith-Shawver from the 60-day injured list following his recovery from an elbow injury. Named the 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets, he made his 2026 season debut in the opener, his first start since May 29th. While he turned heads during his appearance, the Braves ultimately faltered in a 3-2 loss. His return provides a significant boost to the Atlanta rotation as the team looks to strengthen their pitching staff for the second half.
