Bryce Harper Urges Phillies Front Office to Add Talent Before Deadline

Following a difficult 3-8 stretch since the All-Star break, Bryce Harper has publicly called for the Phillies to acquire reinforcements before the August 3 trade deadline. Harper explicitly stated, "We need some help" on both sides of the ball as the team trails the Braves by six games in the NL East. While his comments drew a rebuke from Don Mattingly, who suggested Harper leave roster management to Dave Dombrowski, the pressure remains on the front office to address the team's current slump.
