Dylan Cease Signed by Blue Jays Following Draft Deadline

The Toronto Blue Jays successfully signed Dylan Cease after he rejected the San Diego Padres’ qualifying offer. The signing was a significant move for the Blue Jays, who forfeited their 2nd and 4th round selections in the 2026 MLB draft to secure him. This transaction was finalized as part of the team's broader draft strategy, which saw the club sign all of their expected picks by the 5:00pm ET deadline on Monday.
