Jack Perkins Involved in Incident During Red Sox Debut

Athletics starter Jack Perkins was involved in an incident during Monday's game against the Boston Red Sox, during which he struck opposing infielder Curtis Mead with a pitch in the fourth inning. The pitch resulted in Mead's early exit from his major league debut. Perkins continues to operate within the Athletics' rotation as the team manages its pitching staff through the current series.
