Casey Schmitt Placed on 10-Day IL With Torn Meniscus

Giants infielder Casey Schmitt has been placed on the 10-day injured list after an MRI confirmed a torn meniscus in his left knee. The injury occurred during Monday's game against the Brewers while rounding first base. Initially described as leg discomfort, the tear will keep him sidelined with no current timetable for his return. Osleivis Basabe has been called up to fill the roster spot.
