Curtis Mead Placed on 10-Day IL With Fractured Wrist

Red Sox infielder Curtis Mead has been placed on the 10-day injured list after suffering a fractured left wrist during his team debut. Initially struck by a pitch from Jack Perkins, follow-up testing confirmed the fracture despite negative post-game X-rays. His tenure with Boston has been abruptly interrupted after only two plate appearances, and he may be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
