Traded to Washington Nationals in Exchange for Curtis Mead

LHP Connelly Early has been traded to the Washington Nationals in exchange for infielder Curtis Mead. The deal, confirmed by Jeff Passan, is a significant roster move ahead of the summer trade deadline. Early, who has been managing elbow issues, departs the Red Sox organization as part of this swap. The move is viewed as a major adjustment for both clubs as they navigate the deadline season.
