Patrick Kane Returns to Chicago on Two-Year, $16 Million Deal

After three seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, 37-year-old Patrick Kane has signed a two-year, $16 million contract with the Chicago Blackhawks. Entering his 20th NHL season, the U.S.-born scoring leader joins the team to provide veteran offensive production and mentorship for Chicago's young core. His return is viewed as more than a legacy move, with the organization looking for him to provide a significant, surgical offensive spark as they continue their rebuilding efforts.
