Pirates Designate Relief Pitcher Dennis Santana for Assignment

The Pittsburgh Pirates have designated relief pitcher Dennis Santana for assignment as part of a roster adjustment confirmed on Thursday, July 23, 2026. This move comes as the organization reshuffles its bullpen personnel, coinciding with the team's acquisition of Ron Marinaccio from the San Diego Padres. Santana's departure marks a significant change in the Pirates' relief corps as they look to bolster their pitching depth.
