Gerrit Cole Fans 11 in Strong Start Against Pirates

Gerrit Cole delivered a dominant outing in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Pirates, striking out 11 batters without issuing a walk over seven innings. Despite allowing three runs on four hits, he did not factor into the decision. Cole also recently shared the rotation with Max Fried for the first time, with their combined efforts contributing to the team's production in the absence of captain Aaron Judge.
