Bobby Witt Placed on 10-Day IL With Lower Back Tightness

The Kansas City Royals have placed shortstop Bobby Witt on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Wednesday, due to lower back tightness. This marks the first time in Witt's five-year career that he has been sidelined by an injury. The team is managing his recovery as they navigate roster adjustments. Witt's placement on the IL is a significant development for the Royals, who are also currently managing the absence of Stephen Kolek, who is expected to be out for an extended period.
