Astros Trade Reliever Nate Pearson to Royals

The Houston Astros have traded reliever Nate Pearson to the Kansas City Royals. In exchange, the Astros received 22-year-old righthanded pitching prospect Max Martin. Martin has impressed in the Royals' system this season, posting a 6-2 record with a 2.01 ERA across 26 relief appearances in Class A ball.
