Anders Lee Departs New York Islanders After Quiet Offseason

The New York Islanders have officially parted ways with Anders Lee during a summer characterized by limited roster movement. Lee's exit marks a significant change for the franchise, which enters the 2026-27 campaign as the sixth-oldest team in the NHL. The team's decision to move on from Lee coincides with their acquisition of Matias Maccelli, signaling a shift in the forward corps as the Islanders look to maintain competitiveness.
