Matias Maccelli Joins New York Islanders on One-Year Contract

As part of a relatively quiet offseason for the New York Islanders, the team has secured forward Matias Maccelli on a one-year deal. The acquisition comes as the Islanders look to reshape their roster following the departure of long-time veteran Anders Lee. Maccelli is expected to provide fresh energy to the Islanders' forward group as the team navigates the 2026-27 season with one of the oldest rosters in the NHL.
