Yoshinobu Yamamoto Throws First Career Regular-Season Complete Game

Yoshinobu Yamamoto (10-6) delivered a masterful complete-game performance in an 8-2 win over the Yankees, allowing two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts. While he previously threw two complete games in the postseason during his World Series MVP run, this marked his first career regular-season complete game. The ace anchored the rotation, providing much-needed rest for the bullpen while silencing the Yankees' lineup in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader.
