Sean Manaea Struggles in Trade Deadline Audition Against Phillies

Sean Manaea faced the Philadelphia Phillies in a high-stakes outing that served as a trade deadline audition. Initially slated to face Jesús Luzardo in a game moved up due to rain, Manaea struggled on the mound. The outing was part of a broader team failure, as both Manaea and Kodai Senga underperformed in a loss to the Phillies, raising questions about their status as the trade deadline approaches.
