Jordan Walker Makes History as First Cardinal to Win Home Run Derby

St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker made history by becoming the first Cardinal to win the MLB Home Run Derby. Entering the event with long odds, Walker silenced the Philadelphia crowd by defeating hometown favorite Kyle Schwarber in a high-stakes final round. His victory, which included a walk-off performance with homers on his final six swings, was streamed on Netflix and earned him a prize check exceeding his 2026 MLB salary, marking a major career breakout.
