Francisco Lindor Homers but Commits Costly Error in Mets Loss

Francisco Lindor went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI double in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Red Sox. Despite his offensive contributions, Lindor faced scrutiny after a critical ninth-inning error on a would-be game-ending double play. Manager Andy Green cited the miscue as a factor in the team's defensive struggles during a difficult three-game sweep. The error compounded a frustrating end to the first half of the season for the Mets as they head into the All-Star break.
