Ryan Clifford Shines at 2026 Futures Game Amidst Mets Prospect Outlook

Mets prospect Ryan Clifford represented the National League in the 2026 MLB All-Star Futures Game, entering as a defensive replacement in the fifth inning and drawing a walk in his lone plate appearance. Beyond the showcase, Clifford remains a focal point for the organization. Acquired in the 2023 trade for Justin Verlander, he is viewed as a key, albeit developing, piece for the Mets' future as the team evaluates its roster trajectory and long-term rebuilding strategy.
