Zac Gallen Placed on 15-Day Injured List With Elbow Inflammation

The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed 30-year-old right-hander Zac Gallen on the 15-day injured list due to elbow inflammation. Gallen, who holds an 0-5 record with an 8.24 ERA over his past eight starts, was previously noted in league-wide media links regarding pitching updates. Following his placement on the IL, the team recalled lefty Mitch Bratt to take the mound for Sunday's start against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
