Zack Wheeler Declines All-Star Spot After Dominant Win

Phillies ace Zack Wheeler declined a replacement invitation to the National League All-Star roster, citing frustration with the selection process. On the field, he earned his 10th win of the season Sunday against the Tigers, allowing only two hits and two walks over six scoreless innings while striking out 10. He holds a 10-1 record with a 2.28 ERA and remains focused on his upcoming start rather than the All-Star festivities at his home stadium.
