Freddy Peralta Struggles in Loss to Red Sox

Freddy Peralta (5-8) took the loss Saturday against the Red Sox, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks over 4.1 innings while striking out six. While the Mets previously expressed optimism regarding his development as the team's ace following an offseason trade, this latest outing highlighted ongoing command issues. As the club navigates a difficult stretch, his performance has raised concerns about his role for the remainder of the season.
