Nolan McLean Takes Tough Loss Despite Seven Strikeouts

Nolan McLean (6-6) was handed the loss in Friday's 6-2 defeat against Boston, despite a strong performance. He allowed two unearned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven across six innings. This marked the fifth consecutive start in which McLean has pitched at least six innings, though the Mets' offense failed to provide support in the loss.
