Clay Holmes Open to Midseason Contract Extension With Mets

Despite being a high-value target for other teams ahead of the trade deadline, right-handed pitcher Clay Holmes has expressed a clear preference to remain in New York. Holmes stated he is 'definitely open' to discussing a midseason contract extension with the Mets, signaling his desire to stay with the organization long-term rather than testing the trade market.
